UPDATE 6/27/13 – The Proxy Server is back online.
On and Off Campus access to databases is restored.
College systems were affected by a power outage Tuesday 6/25. The library system (online catalog) is back up, but the Proxy server which allows access to our databases from off campus is still not working. You can access our databases from on campus. However, this requires a small workaround. From the library’s Database page, when you select a database, the proxy url will appear in the link and you will get an error in your browser. If you remove the proxy string from an on-campus computer, you will be able to access. See example below: link from Database page for Science Direct: remove the following:
http://proxy.bucks.edu:2048/login?url= then the browser should take you directly to your database:
http://www.sciencedirect.com/college We will update this post.
