Death by PowerPoint has its own Wikipedia page. Enough said.
If you have a class presentation coming up and you want to add a little spice, there is an alternative that makes it easier to embed media and share without worrying about saving.
It’s called Prezi.com and it provides a different take on presentations. Instead of moving from slide 1 to 2 to 3, Prezi allows up to write all your thoughts down first and then edit, delete, and keep only those needed at the end. Some people will hate that system and others will find it a breath of fresh air. Find out your personal learning style with this short quiz.
Prezi also allows you to embed a video by pasting the URL for YouTube. Or if you have videos or pictures on your computer you can upload the files easily and Prezi does (most of) the hard work for you.
Intrigued? Try it out. If you aren’t, don’t. This is just another tool to consider for your educational toolbox. Head over to our MInDSpace Guide for more multimedia tips and tools.
